You Died In Pain

By Forsaken Redeemer

This was written by a friend of mine with me, so the verses alternate between the two people.....

you, my friend,
who struggles & fights,
you were there till the end
of that terrible night.

you gripped me and pulled me
and held me tight,
until i slept
beneath the morning light.

i felt the savor of sweetness on my lips,
and knew in the end
that i would not be missed.

when i came round
i saw the gun,
then the trail of pills
toward the morning sun.

i ran from the house
and looked behind
and tried to push you
from my mind.

i thought you were dead
i thought you were gone
without you,
i could not live on....

i ran to the house
to see you again,
and knew that you had died in pain....
