Cold showers wash clean,
Rinsing her tainted mind.
Opening her eyes to the outside,
To the world shes been so blind.

All along she thought she was nothing,
All along she thought she was alone.
But he didn't love because he had to,
He did it because he had known.

Just how hard it was,
To go on living life like her.
With a constant urge to drink till dead,
To wake up to the world, a blur.

He didn't love her because he was told,
Or because it was the right thing to do.
He loved her because of who she was,
He didn't care about the things she went through.

Every night she would cry to him,
Not once did he complain.
He stuck in there through thick and thin,
Because he knew of her pain.

He was always there to hold her tight,
Each day he was there with a smile.
They have grown so close together,
That for her he'd walk a mile.

He saw through her flaws down inside,
Deep into her soul.
He saw the inner beauty she had within,
At the bottom of her whole.

But one night she came to him,
Waited at his door in tears.
She needed him more then ever before,
To chase away her fears.

She waited for hours but no answer came,
Then finally his parents came back.
And when they saw her eyes filled with tears,
They knew something was off track.

They rushed in the house up to his room,
The sight they saw made her scream.
His lifeless body hanging still,
Down his arm a crimson stream.

And on his bed where they would sit,
And she would cry to him.
She found a note that was addressed to her,
Where he had catered to her every whim.

His beautiful markings formed the words,
"To my dearest rose.
I'm so sorry for the crime I have committed today,
For my story no one knows."

"I wished I had told you of my pain,
But I couldn't bare to see you cry.
I remember all the nights he made you hurt,
I could stand it to see you sigh."

"I'm so sorry my love for the pain I have caused,
But I couldn't take the ache any longer.
I only wish I could have see your face once more,
I only wish that I were stronger."

"I know it will hurt for many years,
But I pray that you can move on.
Don't dwell on the past my darling flower,
Look forward to a new dawn."

"And smile and laugh like you did before,
Back when the skies were blue.
Please never frown and don't ever forget,
For no matter what, I will always love you."
