I still see you,
But only in my dreams,
It's scary sometimes,
But it's not what it seems,

You tell me to let go,
But I can't let you slip away,
I know I have to,
Just not today,

Mommy says it will end,
Daddy says it gets better,
But these words mean nothing,
There just words on a letter,

No one can feel,
Just exactly my pain,
My heart was ripped out,
And left every vein,

When they buried you,
It just wasn't the same,
Having you not here,
Unable to call your name,

You are only in my dreams,
Sometimes it feels like you are here,
It's kind of strange,
Like you are always near,

I know you’re gone,
For I wish it were not true,
I'd give anything,
Just to be with you...
