This knife that lay next to me is pristine
I have nowhere else to lean
A simple slit will do for now
Let my life go, I disavow
My hopes, dreams and life gradually melt away
As I kneel here in disarray
I lie to myself that it wasn’t your fault
But deep down I know it was result of your mental assault

Could it be because of your tantalizing?
It’s too late to commence my analyzing
You had your place in my affection
Until that day I realized your rejection

Eternal and lonesome I tried to think
The anguish was excruciating but I never blinked
I knew something had to be done
Although in reality I wanted to run

Now I am here, my blood trickles to the floor
I refuse to go on anymore
One last look into those blue eyes
I say my last goodbyes
This is it
My death I commit.

Looking back
At my plan of attack
I realize how I was ridiculous
And now I must be more meticulous
You weren’t worth this
Yet the thought still exists
And within my heart
You will evermore be a part
