The Dove

By Amanda

In my room I use to dwell of a boy I loved so well
He came and took my heart from me and now he wants to set it free
He sat a strange girl on his knee told her things he never told me
I went and cried upon my bed not a word to my mother I said
My farther came home late that night searched for me from left to right
Finally down my door he broke to find me hanging from a rope
When he went to cut me down on my dresser a note he found:
Dig my grave Dig it deep, Marble rock from head to feet and at the top "Put a dove" to show the world I died for love
