I was once the center of your life
comforting you through every grief and strife
you said i was the reason for you living at all
but now you don't give me as much as a phone call.

Some times i wish i could just lay down and die
for this overwhelming love i feel for you just won't subside
each day and night i think of you and cry
oh how i long to have you here by my side.

But my love for you will remain through the ages
and if you ever find the book of life open it's pages
you'll see that each and every line inside
has what i feel for you clearly inscribed.

I would gladly give up all the world's treasures
just to be with you once again
for only you can ease this pain
only you can stop my tears from falling like the rain.
