I pick up my razor blade again
knowing it is my only true friend
its been a while i say to it
but still, in my hand you fit.

Ive been hurting,
where have you been?
are you still sharp?
i say to him

i know my arm
is just starting to heal
but things are to rough
i can no longer deal

i know you understand
you always do.
you help me
when I'm feeling blue.

so just hold your breath
it wont take long
just close your eyes
and prey till I'm done

ill drag you slowly
across my skin
releasing the pain
i feel within

with every drop
of blood that falls
i loosen up my grip

till finally
i stop the cutting
and clean up all the mess

now see,
that wasn't really that bad.
it didn't even really hurt

and look,
there isn't that much blood
nothing to worry about.

it was nice to see you again,
i said to it.
thank you for your help.
but hopefully this is the last time
i use you to hurt myself.
