Lying on your bed, listening to our favorite song, I looked in your eyes and knew nothing could go wrong.
You walked me home, kissed me goodbye� I love you babe" you said with a smile.
I walked into my room and fell asleep; I had constant dreams of you and me.
I awoke in the morning; to my phone I asked, "Where are you? Why aren’t you at home?"
“I’m going to Sydney, just for a week " I fell to my knees and began to weep.
I knew this was it, you were going to leave, but for a long long time, not just for a week.
We talked every night, until all hours of the night, never a bicker, never a fight.
Three weeks later, I walked through your door; never had I wanted to see you more.
I said, "boy you’ve grown" you said "babe, you’ve lost a lot of weight " you looked at me disappointed, scared for my fate.
We laughed and joked and fooled around, I was ecstatic to have you home, safe and sound.
On the couch, watching TV your mum said she needed to talk to me.
We sat up to listen to her, who could have guess the impact of her words.
"I’m sorry you two, but I have to tell you now, we are moving to Sydney " I started to cry, you put your arm around me “we’ll make it somehow "
You left the following Thursday, with a kiss and a hug of love, "babe Ill always love you, Ill be back soon enough "
Nine months, four days and a heart break later, I still love you, you say you "I love you too" but there’s still one thing I need. That thing is you!
