Goodbye

By Darko

Countenance engraved in hollow cerebrum
Drunken loving blood tainted
Pupils and white
Luster long lost
Anti-matter closing in

Memory everlasting
Voice ringing, ringing, ringing
Silence still
Never forgotten

And I
Never
Got
To say
Goodbye.

Marker in the grass
Sign of departure
Placid rose petal
Falling
Falling
Falling
Two, four, six
Gone

One last tear
Drop to my knees
And I'll tell you I love you
I'll tell you I miss you
And I'll tell you goodbye
