He said smile, it's over now.
But by over did you mean this chaos?
Or the twisted web we've woven so many times,
That it's taken up the space we've lost?
I'm guessing at a world unknown here,
And you're not helping very much.
The answers aren't as simple and ingenuous,
As I've perceived you to think of such.
Calm and collected, just don't be persuasive,
That might throw me a little off guard.
Remember: Immaturity is childish and childish is boring
So the addition shouldn't be too hard.
You're trying to prove something and I should know,
I've been down that road too many times before.
So I guess this new sidewalk that I'm walking on,
Is nothing but bound to leave me tattered and torn.
We learn from mistakes and mistakes are well learned,
But mistakes are the things that I'm trying to avoid.
Calm and collected, just don't be persuasive,
That might throw me a little off guard.
Remember: Immaturity is childish and childish is boring
So the addition shouldn't be too hard.
I'll laugh when I'm hurting and cry when I'm not
Because it's all I know how and it's all that I've got.
You'll smile when you're happy and cry when you're not,
Because it's all you know how and it's all that I've got.
You're too good for this, are you sure about that?
Calm and collected, just don't be persuasive,
That might throw me a little off guard.
