The Sun And The Moon.

By Allison Ford

The grasshopper sang into the night
While the sun and the moon had their nightly fight.
The moon won, the day was over.
Then popped up a silver clover.
While the grasshopper sang into the night.

Move out of my way, you glowing baboon!
Everyone wants the sun; not the moon.
It's time for day, not a dull boring night.
So the sun got pumped up into the skylight.
The moon cried so hard he fell out of the day
While the grasshopper sang and the moon skipped away.
