As the thunder cracks,
it echoes the sound of my heart when I see you
The wind carries your scent across the land
to the very place I stand

As the storm gets closer,
I feel the same sense of excitement as when you move towards me
The trees begin to bend with the grace that moves you
Lightning from the storm strikes with the intensity of my love
The rain begins to fall and brings thoughts of you
from time past and what will be...

And as the storm passes and leaves the land refreshed,
I feel a renewed love for you
The power of the storm gives me an understanding
of what our love is
And each storm stirs and intensifies the senses of our love
...as it grows
