If you really wanna know what it's like...
take a walk with me for a night...
i'll tell you sum things you may not like...
the crap i have to dream about- every night...

my past wasn't the best...
and my future's not looking its absolute brightest...
but i can still see and i still smile...
'cause when HE looks at me everything's worth the while...

you ask what happened- as if you care...
as if you could comprehend like you were there...
It hurt me- that i'll admit...
but i'll never take credit for causing it...

see, you can't understand 'cause you weren't there...
but HE understands 'cause we share feelings, and pain...
HE gets me- and i'll never complain...
