Before I go to bed each night
I step outside into the light
Of the silvery moon, riding high
And a million stars in the velvet sky...

My prayers I offer to the moon
That it cast its beams into your room
And guide you gently to your bed
And soften the pillow for your head...

And with every star I plead as well
That it snare you with its twinkling spell
And fill your dreams with sweet delight...
For every second of the night.
