Something bound us together;
You had a connection to my soul.
Every moment I was with you
Was a moment I felt whole.

Being with you was my comfort,
The thought of you, a guide.
Nothing seemed impossible
When you were by my side.

My spirit, never empty,
My heart, always fulfilled,
My cup half full with dreams,
...Then one day it spilled.

You said you were not ready,
And maybe love should wait.
Now loneliness consumes me.
My soul has lost its mate.
