Silenced Fear

By K i K i ©

Crawling into the cave of unknown,
Everything is so silent.
No one home,
Me alone in the dark.
Crying, I sit and wait.

Singing a tune,
Hoping it will be alright.
Hear my call, please,
I need advice.
Too much silence.

Alone. Dark,
The twitching of the cats nose,
And the crackling of the fire.
That's all I hear.
Humming birds cheer.

Thinking, as the rain,
It belts down on the windows face,
And smothering the tin roofs gutter.
I want to hide away,
Be silent, hear only you.
