Help me, I’m lost in this lonely world
Fears and loathing are taking over me
I can’t find my way on the darkened path
I hope that one day I’ll bump into that tree
That tree that signifies that there’s still life
Life in this world that only seems to be gray
Gray as the clouds on a rainy day
The kind of gray that makes you feel only dismay
I’m confused with this odd place
I don’t feel like I’m at my house
But everything looks the same
Right down to the mouse
Then suddenly as I reach for the door
I can feel the light
That was once there before
My surroundings
Become colorful again
And then, finally
I have a friend
Tears are now a thing of the past
I have no need to cry
I will no longer be alone
And I will be able to try
