Lonely Road Of Silence

By Nicole Cabezas

And so I shall
Walk my lonely road
In Silence
Wondering what life has
In store for me

It’s a false hope
To think that life will tell me
To think that my purpose will be revealed so soon
One day perhaps
But dwell on it I won’t

Until my time is up
I will live for me
For the one’s I love
And the one’s I’ve yet to meet
So that I can’t say my life was a waste

If I died tomorrow
Would you cry for me?
Would you miss me?
Or be glad I’m gone?
Would you remember me?

It is my wish
My hope
That my time here
Has a purpose
And I touch someone

If it’s true that we are put here for a reason
I hope mine is to help others
Others who need help but don’t ask
Others like me
So that if I never find peace with myself
Someone else will
