I've Embraced Freedom

She gives me warmth
on the coldest of days
her sun pours through
the skies clouded maze

always comforting me
when depression sets in
never getting to low
fore she lifts me again

the essence of light
when my thoughts are dark
her love and compassion
provide the greatest spark

to continue to live
in search of inner bliss
to rest my soul
upon her mental kiss

through tragedy and despair
she's accompanied me
my beautiful freedom
her name "Poetry"

outlet. Then others choose
addictions, and even suicide
to deal with their world. I
chose to write and in doing
so, have found FREEDOM....
