There’s someone out there that needs your help
But doesn’t know how to get it
They want to believe
But have trouble grasping the idea of your existence
There is doubt there
Put there by the Fallen Angel, many say
But broken dreams
Follow broken memories
Loss of faith
Follows loss of one’s self
Is that what’s happened?
Has this person lost themself?
Are they doomed to an eternity of a life in Hell?
Or is there a chance at Heaven on Earth?

Look to the past
And you’ll see your future
Have faith, people tell me
Pray to God and he’ll make your life better
But who or what is God exactly?
How do we know He is real?
Everything is all brought back to faith
Do you have it?
Do they?
What are your beliefs?
What are theirs?
What exactly do you have faith in?
What do they?

I have a confession to make to you
This person with a crisis of faith
They’re as close to me as close can be
Because the person in crisis is me
