COURAGE (sonnet)

By OverlookedTruth

Ask me what’s wrong.
I’ll smile and say everything fine.
All my true feelings I shall resign.
And keep singing the same old song.

I’ve hid these feelings far too long.
I’m trying to express this truth of mine.
I can feel my strength growing within me like a vine.
One of these days I’ll be as strong.

To express these thoughts trapped inside.
Reveal to the world my hidden pain.
So I can finally put this angst aside.
And ease these feelings driving me insane.

Once I find someone in whom to confide.
Hopefully a sense of relief I’ll gain.
