Where is peace secreted?
Perhaps the same place where chaos is defeated,
Or maybe on that rock by the riverside
Where calmness is supplies
Possibly in that forest or on that lake
Riding behind a boat in its wake
Maybe even on that long drive home
Or somewhere hidden inside a poem
Perhaps on a green, grassy hill
Or in bed when Mom reads Jack and Jill
Maybe while someone plays guitar
Or just cruising in that old, beat up car
There is one place that I know of
With Peace, Joy, and Love
That is where He dwells
And where nothing abides that is hell's
Where He can serenade anyone
And where pain is none
That Place is where I am going
That is where the river is flowing
Where the forest gets its splendor so great
And the lake is drained of all hate
And the familiar roads are garnished with songbirds
And a poem gets its magnificently placed words
And the grass gets its brightness to which we clutch
And where the bed gets its comfortable touch
And a guitar in its perfect harmony so sweet on the ears
And the car gets its safe feeling with no fears
That is my Place
Where I can finally see His face
That is where I am to go
Where all are friend and no foe
No that I am through
I know where I am going, do you?
