Our Imagination

By Kirk K. Hubbard

His red head on my tummy,
My small legs on his chest,
His callused hands on my arms,
I couldn't protest,

Bounce! Bounce! Bounce!
In a clipper we took,
My hand in a cutlass,
His one a hook,

Ship ahead! says the captain
Who is me of course,
Prepare the cannons,
We'll take'em by force,

We boarded their ship,
Then destroyed them with ease,
Tied them all up,
And their booty we seized,

Two pirates gone looting,
It was just meant to be,
Together forever,
Just my dad and me.
