Moma

By Beulah A. Keen

As we sit around the old home place,
Thinking as children how we did play,
All the joy and happiness we shared,
How You and Dad were always there.

Each day we looked at your smiling faces,
Your warmth, love and kindness with each embrace,
Ever Mothers Day and all other holidays,
When family and friends gathered around.

Enjoying the happy laughter and every sound,
Then one day we looked and you were gone,
For to our regret God had called you home,
Freeing you from sickness, heartache and pain.

That had your body and spirit bound,
Releasing you of trials and tribulations,
As Heaven's lights came into clear view,
There on Heavens shores with family and friends.

Walking with them enjoying the sights,
Life for you no more will end,
Now Moma that you have taken your flight,
Resting with God till we can come to you.
