Forever Memories

By Shannon Nelson

I remember every morning,
As you went to curl your hair,
I'd watch in awe and rapture,
And you'd turn around and stare.
I remember when we'd laugh and cry,
When things weren't going right.
When daddy made you hurt, I hurt,
Though I tried with all my might.
I remember one sweet memory,
Every hot day in July.
I'd have a lemonade stand,
And all my drinks you'd buy.
I remember every Christmas Eve,
Before we went to bed,
We'd kneel and thank our Precious Lord,
For all the comfort he would send.
I remember that one camping trip,
When I tripped and scraped my knee.
You took the time to kiss away,
my tears and agony.
I remember every concert, play,
Or show that I had done.
You'd come and clap the loudest,
Like a medal I had won.
And now that I have gone away,
Though physically not yet.
There is no thing emotional,
About us I regret.
You've made me feel like I am worth,
This whole worlds weight in gold.
And no matter how many offers I get,
That worth cannot be sold.
You've made me feel like I am special,
The most important person in the world,
I'll always and forever be,
Your precious little girl.
