All About You

By Rachel M. Stephens

I don't know how much more of this I can take.
My jar is full and is about to break.
My heart constantly aches.
You are my father.
You are supposed to be here for me.
Every little girl needs that one special hero.
If I added up all the points,
Dad you're at zero.
I question myself,
Why do you even bother?
You are all about image.
You are living a life of wealth.
You drive nice cars,
And you enjoy yourself at fancy bars.
Your actions show that you could care less.
Do you even worry about your children's health?
I wish I could put these heartaches away,
But they will not fit into this overflowing jar.
I don't know how much more of this I can take.
My jar is full and is about to break.
