Well it sure is amazing how many folks have turned down the FEMA Chief job, but it should not surprise you? It seems in government all they do is play the Donald Trump "Blame Game” and who ever yells loudest that it is the other person's fault they get to stay. Think of all the scapegoats we make of the top positions in government these days?
What happened to good ole' Brownie? Scapegoat, it was time to hand someone for the 2005 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season with 3 of the five most powerful Hurricanes in recorded history and old Brownie took the fall; "You're Fired” just like the Apprentice.
Well now that we need a new head of FEMA, do we have any takers? Hell no, who would want to be treated like that? It is not about saving lives, it is about showmanship, looking caring on TV, saying the right things and staying out of the political fire when one politician complains about another? Silly bunch of cry babies indeed.
Instead of working with each other they are lambasting their own constituency which failed to get out of dodge and evacuate, calling them good "Chocolate People” who had no way to leave while 1500 empty and perfectly drivable buses became instant submarines in the New Orleans Soup Bowl. Consider all this in 2006, because surely we can do better.
